The advantages of using a graphic designer when you have a project and are tempted to “do it yourself” in order to save a little money is that a designer has the experience and know how to translate your ideas into art and make it print ready all in one process. We use Adobe products because they are industry standard and designed to communicate seamlessly with the printing process. Although we do accept art work in Microsoft products they often required trouble shooting that is time consuming. The customer will be charged for the work if the files are not print ready. “Do it yourself” doesn’t always translate into money saved.
